About the Chairman
Spearheaded by Mr. Elhamy ElZayat in November 1977, Emeco Travel has touched great heights ever since. Mr. ElZayat with his meticulousness remains the current Chairman and CEO of the entire Emeco Group.
But that is not all, Mr. ElZayat’s expertise also reflects in the other roles that he has taken on apart from heading Emeco. He is also an esteemed Board Member of the Holding Company for Tourism and Cinemas and Arabian Hotel Media Production City. Apart from that he is General Assembly Member of Egypt Air and Egypt Airport Authorities. Ahead of that, he was Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Federation, Euromic, and the Egyptian Travel Agents Association. Mr. Elzayat has been honoured with prestigious Awards like the Academy Award 2005 from IMEX, the Twentieth Century Achievement Award 2000 and Man of the Year 1997 from the American Biographical Institute, World Peace through Tourism 1997 from American Express & Reed, and Personnalite de l`Année 1993 " Distinction International " Tourisme from the French government and the New Zealand Award of Merit on June 4, 2007.
